Proton employed Face2Face to carry out some training for our outbound telesales department, in 2018.

We needed to improve the quality of the calls, the lead generation and the ultimate ai​m of achieving new business over the phone and my time was limited.

Helen & Jan came to the offices over a number of weeks to accommodate different working hours and demands of the office. They ran a number of full day sessions on each aspect of the role, covering how to profile a new prospective client, the information they would eventually need to develop the profile call - into a call for new business, how to record and how to diary each lead, using different methods for different people.

We followed up with a course of telephone skills for both customer service and telesales, helping the team to overcome objections and gain the goal of contact with the main business user who we could then deal with as a client. The team developed in confidence and ability and our sales grew from this experience, so much so we asked for some refresher courses, and an induction course for any new starter. In 2019, we had diversified as a business into coffee cleaning products, and Face2Face again came and carried out a training programme on the basics of coffee sales, to help the team approach each call with some knowledge and confidence. Again, we see a positive increase on sales and this information is still used today.

Having the courses by Face2Face not only had the desired results for us as a company, but also empowered the team. The confidence of each member was clear to see, and the team morale was higher. Helen or Jan offered great aftercare and continued to offer support long after the course finished.

After a period of strong growth in the North of the UK, Miko identified a need to improve the productivity of our tele sales department to ensure that both call rates and maximisation of sales were achieved when talking to customers on the phone.

On meeting with Jan and Helen from Face2Face they provided a comprehensive plan to observe our current procedures and operation, this included monitoring call quality at our 3 sites. This was then followed up with the production of a plan of action which included a training program along with points of action for procedural changes along a time frame to carry these out.


We decided after looking at other options to engage Face2Face to carry out the plan presented.  This was implemented over a 3-month period. The results achieved showed an increase in our daily call rate along with a 35% increase in the number of up sells to our current customers.


During the 3 months program, Jan and Helen also identified the opportunity of starting a telephone appointment making operation for our field-based sales team.  An initial trial of this was agreed and the set up and management was contracted to Face 2 Face.

This proved highly successful; providing opportunities otherwise not open to our field-based sales team.


We have found Jan and Helen to be professional in their approach with a great amount of flexibility adapting the service they provided to our company’s need at the time.

At Little Owls Children’s Centre, we realised that we needed to have a course for parents who used our service to help them deal with things other than child related issues. We embarked on the Life Skills programme set up and run by Jan Hudson.


The course was grouped into 3 chapters, with each chapter running for around 6 weeks for 2 hours. The courses provided a different theme each week to help build the parent’s confidence in themselves primarily, dealing with potentially difficult situations such as dealing with authority, job interviews, conflict resolution and finances, all subjects extremely relevant to our parents.


The courses were both informative and fun, and delivered by Jan in a non-threatening, empathetic manner, which gave the at first apprehensive parents a forum to openly discuss things they would not normally discuss, such as domestic abuse and financial concerns.

Each course was attended 100% by the parents involved, and it was at their request further courses were put on at the centre. The highlight of course 1 was that once anxious parents, who were not engaged with school staff, put on a dance show for the whole school in an assembly, dancing to Monster Mash, complete with costumes and make-up! To see these parents, grow in confidence after just 6 weeks was amazing and humbling.


Jan is an enthusiastic, professional, and engaging course leader, who gained the trust of the parents with ease, which enabled our staff to help them with issues we would not have known about.


I can highly recommend this course to all Centres as the benefit these 3 courses has made in such a short time, is something the staff at the centre would have taken months if not years to achieve.
